Competition law in the financial sector: identify risks and act appropriately
Date
Type
Competition law risks can arise unexpectedly in many day-to-day professional interactions, including routine contacts and discussions. This is particularly relevant in the financial and banking sector, which remains subject to close scrutiny by competition authorities.
The objectives of this training are to:
- develop an understanding of the fundamental principles of competition law;
- recognise the key red flags when interacting with competitors, customers, suppliers and industry associations;
- learn how to respond appropriately and confidently when a conversation or meeting begins to raise competition law concerns.
Audience
This training is specifically aimed at professionals without a legal background who work in the financial or banking sector, including commercial and management profiles who regularly interact with competitors, customers or suppliers.
