Sophie Stijns kicked off this year’s edition of ‘Knipperlichten’ with a scoop of a draft bill introducing a new Civil Code. A new structure and modern terminology is meant to clarify, supplement and simplify the present Civil Code. She concluded with several judgements that indicate that the Court of Cassation is already anticipating the new Civil Code. More details on these judgements are on our CLS website.
