Cathy Van den Branden joined contrast as a paralegal in 2020 and was promoted to senior paralegal in 2026. She is a member of the Commercial Law team and the contrast Distribution Law Center.

Cathy combines strong legal insight with a practical, hands-on approach. She is valued for her precision, reliability and ability to translate complex legal matters into clear, pragmatic legal advice and research. In 2025, she took on the additional role of driving force behind our Vibes team, where she plays a key role in organising initiatives that strengthen team spirit and contribute to a positive working environment.

Before joining contrast, Cathy gained experience as an intern at Stibbe and worked as a law tutor at Studant vzw. She is regularly invited as a guest lecturer at UC Leuven-Limburg (UCLL) and Arteveldehogeschool.

Cathy holds a bachelor’s degree in Legal Practice from UC Leuven-Limburg (UCLL) and is fluent in Dutch, English and French.
