Biography

Bart Bellen is founding partner at contrast. He specialises in corporate law and M&A.

Bart advises companies and international associations on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, assisting clients with transactions, strategic decisions, and dispute resolution.

He regularly speaks and publishes on corporate law and M&A related topics.

Bart's publication record consists of ‘Share Purchase Agreements – Belgian Law and Practice’ (Antwerp/Cambridge, Intersentia, 2016), the M&A Survey (TRV/RPS 2007, 2009, 2012, 2017, 2021, 2026) and ‘M&A Kroniek / Chronique de jurisprudence en M&A' of the period 2000-2017 (first edition) and 2017 - 2024 (second edition)’, a review of 25 years of M&A related jurisprudence published by TRV/RPS in 2019 and 2025.
