On 26 July 2017, Advocate General Wahl issued his opinion in the Coty case (see following link). According to the Advocate General, Coty, which is a supplier of luxury goods operating a selective distribution system, is entitled to prohibit its authorized dealers from selling its products online via third-party platform, eg Amazon or eBay. We will incorporate the findings of the Advocate General in the proofs of the third edition of our book on Vertical Agreement in EU Competition Law, which Oxford University Press will publish in autumn.
